Phase One - Completed
Well it has been a long 16 weeks that to some seems to have passed by rather quickly. I haven't really thought about it, I am just glad it is done! Yes, if you haven't guessed, I finished Chemo today! I am so happy that this is done. Going in I had no idea what to expect but I have to say the nurses there prepared me for the worst. What I got was the best. Treatment on time, no missed cycles, no delays. Very few side affects and it seems to have made a pretty big difference. In other words, it did it's job. My cancer has diminished considerably.
I want to take this time to thank everyone for their support and love. I could not have done this without all the positive energy being sent on a regular basis.
Next stop - surgery. Not nearly as damaging to the body but surly more of an emotional aspect that I will have to deal with.
Stand back and watch me shine!

That's fantastic news, I know I don't really know you but just the same I'm glad to hear such positive news from you, and I know many others will be too. Keep on with the updates. I'm sending all the positive energy I can. We leave for Vancouver next Friday, then move on to LA to see The Who, might you be there?
Keep on shining
Jill
Cool. Great to see you are on the path to kicking cancer's ass.

Excellent news, Meg. Your journey has been an important part of my life. Nothing virtual about it. Your strength, your honesty, your force, yes, SHINES.
We are all here sending pounds and ounces of hope, prayer, strength, and yes positive energy your way!

That is great news, Meg!
My mum had a mastectomy over 30 years ago and has not looked back since.
I will continue to watch you shine... if only from the sidelines.
I hope your family is doing well, too.
Love
Dale

Meg - a great milestone reached, and with such grace, good humour and inspiring optimism. You will triumph over this disease, and those standing by as you continue the journey will be the richer for seeing you do it.
I missed your last post initially, but it was very thought-provoking. In the end, I don't feel in a position to judge. The photographs are certainly challenging, many are very fine, but ultimately I think their value is in what they achieved for the women who posed for them. I wouldn't do it, but if it helped them in validating or expressing their experiences and regaining a sense of self, that's enough for me.
Shine on!

The best of luck to you with surgery, I know you'll pull through!!!
I remember when I had an operation on my back few years (decades, LOL) ago, I was having weird dreams during the anaesthesia. Maybe you'll dream of our boys??? Keeping you company with their songs...Hahaha.
